Jesus’ heart for the hurting and vulnerable is showcased in contrast to the religious elite’s piety and hypocrisy. He rebukes the religious elite and thus sets in motion a conspiracy to put an end to Him.

Job 38:41
Jesus posed a question: Who would love more, one forgiven a large debt or one forgiven a small debt? The woman, recognizing her sinfulness, humbly sought Jesus. The Pharisees, blinded by pride, couldn't appreciate her repentance. Jesus, unlike them, rejoices in repentance. He gently draws us out of sin, welcoming us with love. The Pharisees missed the point, wanting spectacle instead of recognizing Jesus' true power. Jesus refused his family not out of bitterness but to emphasize the unity found in faith.
