Genesis 40:4
Have you ever felt trapped in a situation where everything seems unfair? Joseph certainly did. After being falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife, he found himself imprisoned again, yet his story did not end in despair. Joseph was given charge over other prisoners, including two of Pharaoh’s officials. Even in that dark place, God’s favor remained on Joseph, allowing him to serve and use his gift of interpreting dreams. Are there areas in your life where you feel unjustly held back? Like Joseph, it may feel like your efforts go unnoticed or your talents are underutilized. Yet Joseph’s time in prison wasn’t wasted. It became where his gifts were revealed and he formed connections that would eventually lead to his rise in Egypt. His ability to interpret the dreams of the baker and cupbearer marked the beginning of his journey toward freedom and leadership.
